ABOUT MSN® DIRECT RADIO SIGNAL
The MSN® Direct service is delivered over the
Microsoft® DirectBand™ network, a wide-area network
based on FM radio technology. This radio signal
transmits to the unit most of the information that is
displayed i.e. weather, temperature, humidity, UV, and
local time with DST adjustment. For more information
on MSN Direct, please visit
Overlapping coverage
In areas of overlapping city data coverage, the unit will
automatically select data from the tower it gets the best
reception from.
When you insert the AC adapter or batteries, the unit
will automatically start searching for the MSN Direct
radio signal.
Weather information shows when the signal has been
received. “ - - - “ shows when the signal has NOT
been received.
If you cannot receive a signal:
Ensure the antenna is fully extended and try
repositioning it.
Place the unit in a different location.
Make sure the unit is away from metallic or electronic
objects.
Force a signal search.
