INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing The OLD FASHIONED CARNIVAL COTTON CANDY CART™.
This nostalgic looking cotton candy maker resembles the early 1900’s carnival and circus
style cotton candy carts. The designed appearance is like the nostalgic style cotton candy
carts, however, it is a technologically advanced cotton candy maker.
The whole family will enjoy the OLD FASHIONED CARNIVAL COTTON CANDY CART™.
Please take care of your machine by following these instructions and precautions.
NOTE: Cotton candy is made by heating sugar. This turns sugar into a liquid form. Then
the sugar liquid is forced out of tiny holes in the extractor head by centrifugal force as the
extractor head spins. As the liquid sugar hits the air, it returns to a solid fluffy material that
adheres to a paper cone.
You can use a variety of flavored sugars with your OLD FASHIONED CARNIVAL COTTON
CANDY CART™, which can be found on the Internet and at various stores in your local
neighborhood.
HERE’S A TIP You can use regular household granulated sugar in your OLD
FASHIONED CARNIVAL COTTON CANDY CART™. To add a little flavor and color, mix a
pinch of your favorite pre-sweetened Kool-Aid® to the sugar. Imagine the variety of flavors
you can make and the fun you’ll have!

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. First, find a suitable area near an electrical outlet before starting. Make sure the
ground is level. (Make sure your cord is away from any water source. If needed, it is
acceptable to use an extension cord.) Make sure the unit is not in a high traffic area to
prevent accidents.
2. Add sugar to the spinning head (See Illustration A, below). Manually turn the head to
balance the sugar level to prevent excessive vibration, if necessary.
Illustration A
NOTE – NEVER add sugar while motor is running and
head is spinning.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE (Continued)
2.
There are two switches on the unit. (See Illustration B, below)
The HEAT SWITCH (left) turns on the heating element, the MAIN SWITCH (right)
turns motor ON and OFF. Make sure you have a flossing cone in hand, switch
to ON position.
Illustration B
Cotton candy floss should be made
within a few seconds.
3.
Close dome leaving just enough room to be able to reach inside and spin the
flossing cone. When you can visually see the cotton candy ‘web’ begin, collect the
cotton candy on the cone by holding the cone vertically. Rotate the cone with your
fingers while you circle the bowl. Once cotton candy has collected on the cone,
hold the cone in a horizontal position over the extractor head while still rotating the
cone with your fingers. Continue turning the cone with your fingers while the cone
is in the horizontal position, and move from side to side making sure you are
collecting all the cotton candy.
TIP: If floss does not adhere easily to the cone, you can spray the cone lightly with water.
4.
Turn the heat and motor OFF when all the sugar has been dispensed. Once the
extractor head has come to a complete stop, you can pour another measure of
sugar in the extractor head and begin again. The cotton candy should be flowing
more quickly as the unit should be sufficiently warmed up.
NOTES
.
Never use ingredients other than pure granulated sugar or flossing sugar. This
will cause clogging.
.
.
DO NOT overfill the sugar receptacle.
ALWAYS use the protective dome (See Illustration C, below) when using this
machine to protect spectators from hot, sugar particles that may fly out of the
extractor head.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
It is very important that the unit be cleaned properly after every use. If it is not, the holes
will get clogged and sugar will not be able to sift through the tiny holes properly.
.
.
Make sure unit is unplugged and has had time to cool down before cleaning.
First warm up the flossing head for 30 seconds with the heat switch, then turn it off.
Turn on motor only, to start flossing head. Pour 2 tablespoons of warm water into
the top of the spinning head to blow all the sugar out. (DO NOT use heat while
cleaning.) Let the extractor head spin until all of the water has spun out. Once
there is no more water spinning out of the head, turn motor off. (You may need to
do this several times to remove the sugar build up).
.
Use a slightly damp, non-abrasive sponge or non-abrasive towel to wipe clean the
outside of the unit. Wipe with a non-abrasive towel to dry. Do not use excessive
water when cleaning this unit.
The OLD FASHIONED CARNIVAL COTTON CANDY CART™ breaks down to a cart
body, bowl, dome, and extractor head for easy cleaning.
TROUBLESHOOTING
EXCESSIVE VIBRATION

materials were removed from the machine.
2. Check for stretched or uneven suspension springs.
3. Run the sugar completely out, then check for foreign objects or sugar lumps in the
extractor head.
4. Foreign objects in the extractor head may cause an out-of-balance condition.
LOW PRODUCTION
1. Make sure you are using only granulated sugar or cotton candy flossing sugar.
2. Check extractor head for foreign objects, materials or excessive sugar build up that
may cause a blockage.
MOTOR DOES NOT TURN ON OR EXTRACTOR HEAD DOES NOT SPIN
1. Make sure that plug is connected correctly in to the outlet.
2. Check and replace fuses if necessary. (See below)
