This DVD player contains laser system.  
Read this manual carefully and get familiar with the instructions before operating.  
After reading this manual, please keep it for future reference.  
To prevent direct laser radiation, do not attempt to open the enclosure. Visible laser  
beam will radiate when the enclosure is opened or when the interlock device is  
released. Do not stare at the laser-beam.  
To avoid damaging the loader of the unit, please don’t pull or drag the tray of the  
loader when operating and switch off the power supply only when “NO DISC” is  
displayed.  
Never place other things or articles upon the player, otherwise it may cause improper  
playback.

POWER ON THE PLAYER AND TV  
Connect this player with your TV / PC Monitor / Projector, amplifier (if available)  
and power source.

Turn on this player by click the power button on the front panel.

Turn on TV and switch it to the appropriate video mode ( composite video input,  
S-video input or component video input ).  
If you connect the TV via component video input and get no image on the TV  
screen, please press “P-SCAN” button on the remote control a couple times until  
the TV shows image.

If you get black/white image on the TV screen, click “PAL/NTSC” button on the  
remote control to switch the player to the appropriate TV system ( PAL or NTSC).

You don’t need do anything in speaker setup when you  
are using digital audio output ( optical / coaxial ). This is  
for user who are using this player’s built-in 5.1 channel  
output function.  
Downmix  
If you only need 2 channels to enjoy music, it is  
recommended to select “Stereo” option. When you use  
this player’s built-in Dolby Digital decoder to play 5.1  
channel sound, please select “off”.

To select speaker size. You can select “Large” or big size  
speaker, “Small” for small size speaker. You can turn off  
the Center/Rear speaker when you choose “off”

USE THIS PLAYER TO PLAY DVD/VCD/SVC/CD/HDCD

GENERAL INSTRUCTION  
Put DVD/CD/SVCD/CD/HDCD disc inside the disc tray, then close the tray. The  
player will automatically start to play these materials.  
Some DVD has built-in title menu. The player will automatically show the title menu  
of the player. You can always go back to the title menu by pressing Title/PBC button  
or go back to the initial menu by pressing DVD Menu button.  
Some VCD, Super VCD has PBC ( Playback control ) menu, the player will show this  
menu first unless you disable the “PBC” function in preference setup. You can always  
jump back to PBC menu by pressing “Title/PBC” button.  
You can jump directly to certain chapter of DVD/VCD or sound track on music CD  
by pressing the chapter number directly on the remote control.  
You can fast forward / back forward ( upto 32x) or slow playback ( upto 1/16) on  
DVD/VCD/SVCD.  
Upto 4X zoom is available for all video materials ( DVD/SVCD/VCD ). ( Using zoom  
button )  
While playing CD, you can choose 4 different play mode ( single, repeat, shuffle,  
random) by using repeat button.

USE THIS PLAYER TO PLAY MPEG4/MP3/WMA/JPEG FILES

STORE FILES ON A RECORDABLE DISC  
You can store any MPEG4 ( DivX / Xvid ), MPEG1/2, MP3, WMA, JPEG files on a  
recordable disk and then play on this player. CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R,  
DVD+RW are supported.  
There is no limitation about how many files you can put on one disk. Folders are  
supported. One folder can store upto 999 different files. For example, you can put  
about 5-7 DivX movies on one DVD+R disk, or you can put 100-200 MP3 songs on  
one CD-R. You can put different type media files on one disk, for example, you can  
put Jpeg files, MP3, WMA, MPEG4 files on one single disk.  
This player determine the file type by reading the extension name of each file. Extension  
name *.avi, *.mpg, *.mpeg, *.mp3, *.wma, *.jpg are supported. If your file has a different  
extension name, it will not be recognized by this player. For example, if you want to  
put several SVCDs on one DVD-R, you can rename the SVCD file ( *.dat) to *.mpg  
file.  
Please burn the recordable disk in normal ISO9660 disc format. Long file name is  
supported.  
ADDITONAL FEATURES  
For all files in one disk, you can use repeat button to choose 6 play mode ( Repeat,  
Shuffle, Single, Repeat All, Repeat Folder, Random ), then the player will play all files  
on the disk automatically according to the play mode you choose.  
You can fast forward / back forward upto 32X on any video file ( MPEG4, DivX, Xvid  
and etc). ( Using fast forward / back forward button).  
You can zoom in/out upto 4X on any video file or Jpeg file. ( Using zoom button)

USING KARAOKE  
In the Audio Setup, turn on the microphone input.  
Plug the microphone into the mic slot on the front panel. You can adjust microphone  
volume by adjusting the mic vol control on the front panel.  
While playing Karaoke VCD / CD, you can switch the sound channel by using  
“channel” button.  
You can adjust the echo level by using the echo+ and echo- buttons.

USEFUL NOTES  
In order to prolong the service life of your player, it is recommend to wait at least  
30 seconds before you turn it on again after switching it off.  
Turn off power after operation.  
Only use the power supply of the nominal voltage, otherwise the player will not be  
operational or even be damaged.  
In case of occasional player halt, please turn it off and turn it on again.  
Don’t turn off this player while it is still showing “loading” on the display.
